Junior High School

In Japan, Junior High School consists of 3 grades. Students are usually between 12 and 15 years old. English is a full, required subject and consists of speaking, listening, reading, and writing practice. Much of the curriculum is designed around the grammar points and vocabulary used for school entrance exams.

A matching game where students walk around the classroom and find the person with the matching card.

A very basic interviewing game in which students chase each other and ask basic "Are you~?" questions with "I am" answers while sporting tiny printed cameras.

Students practice the days of the week by writing out their weekly schedules.

Jumble

Students practice spelling by mixing up words and quizzing each other.

I have played nintendo for 28 years

Students practice writing sentences using the present perfect. Then they write 3 true statements and 1 false statement about their lives. Other students must guess which is the false statement.

Land of the Blind

Students work in pairs; one blindfolded while the other one issues directions. They must move around the room to avoid being caught by the Oni team.

Code Breakers

ALT reads a series of numbers and students must convert them to letters to figure out the secret word.

Are you Anpannman?

This is a simple game in which the students become a member of the Sazae-san family. The goal of the game is find the other characters and make Sazae-san's family.

Are you From DokoDoko?

Students ask each other "Are you...?" questions and collect signatures.

"That looks like..." Blind Drawing

Students cover their eyes, draw something, and then ask each other what the picture looks like.
