DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  • The JTE and ALT do a presentation using the example dialogue from the worksheet.
  • Then, the JTE and ALT pass out the worksheets to the students. Students look at the example dialogue. On the other side, students will see questions they can use for the activity. The JTE and ALT go over the questions making sure students understand the meaning.
  • Students do the activity in pairs. One of the teachers use the list of words (or make up your own), and write each word on a sheet of paper.
  • All of the students on one side of the class come to the teacher and see the mystery word. They then sit down and answer their partners questions. When their partner gets the correct answer, they go to the teacher to get the next word.

TEACHING SUGGESTIONS:

  • You can split up food and places for different days to spend less time on the activity.
